Norwegian export since April

The power situation as of October 31th: It has been Norwegian net export of electricity since the last week of April. The net export was on its highest level with 598 GWh in week 34. Thereafter it has decreased towards 115 GWh in week 43. Total Norwegian net export has been 10 TWh the last 27 weeks.

The effective inflow in Norway was about 50 percent of normal in week 30. As a consequence reservoir levels dropped with 0.4 percentage points to 60.3 percent. At the end of week 30 reservoir levels in Norway was 21.9 percentage pints below normal values.

The European Commission has today approved a proposal for a partnership on infrastructure between the European Union and Africa. The Partnership aims to respond to the objectives set out by the African Union and NEPAD. A total of €5.6 billion from the 10th European Development Fund (EDF, 2008-2013) will support regional development in four priority areas: transport, energy, water, and information technology and telecommunication networks.
